It is alarming.... who will we let win Good or Evil within??

Today is the day of victory of Good over Evil.... Vijay Dashmi, Fine. I got it.......history behind it we all know very well...... This is what I have been reading since my school days. Believe you me, I knew nothing about good or evil.. When I was small I was always told to do good deeds, and for me good deeds were always not to tell a lie, not to disrespect anyone and so on.. the list was big but the items in that list were of small weightage if compared to present. Evil for me was telling a lie, disrespecting elders, using bad words etc.. those were the evils back then.

As I grew up and still growing I found or I can say I see those bad things which were evils for me back then are now routine for everyone. I wonder shall we still consider them evil when I see people doing those things casually. What then is evil today?????

Out of all four yugas, Satya Yuga, Treta Yuga, Dwapara Yuga and Kaliyuga. Kaliyuga 'the present' is the yuga where in our evils are not found in another world, country or family but within us. Yes all the good and evil live within. That's the reason we are struggling so much, that's the reason our lives are full of miseries and pains. Until and unless we don't know our evils, who we will fight and how will we make difference in our state of being.

We have lot of time to see evil in others irrespective of the fact that today each one of us is an outcome of bad and good proportionately. Isn't it a time to introspect a little and see our evils and try to get victory over them. Isn't it a time to be aware of other's pains too. Isn't it a time to treat each one equally. Isn't it a time to make this world a better place to live.

Temporarily you may get happiness for mistreating someone, ditching someone, insulting someone, playing someone, torturing someone.. But really are we all born for this??? to mistreat, to insult, to play, to torture or is there any other purpose of our life??? Any happiness got due to such reasons may bring happiness, but believe me it will be momentary and then everything else will become same in life.

When we all know that the good and the evil is within us, the battle is within, who will we let win the inner goodness or the evil within...... What do you all think???
